Assistant Professor Noam Markovitch joined the faculty in 2026. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2022. Noam has held a Post-Doctoral position at the Hebrew University during the years 2022-2023, and at UCL (University College London) during the years 2023-2026.

Her research examines how social contexts shape the way people think, feel, behave, and make decisions during dynamic social interactions. Her work brings together social psychology, social cognition, decision-making, individual differences, and developmental psychology, using experimental, behavioral, and data-driven approaches. She studies how people interpret mixed or ambiguous social information, how situational and affective-motivational features of social contexts shape these interpretations, and how these interpretations guide behavior as interactions unfold over time
