Freiman, Moti

Associate Professor Moti Freiman joined the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences in 2026, having joined the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering in 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering and Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2010. He held a postdoctoral position at the Computational Radiology Laboratory at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital from 2010 to 2012.

Professor Freiman’s research interests include medical image processing, computer vision, machine learning, medical imaging physics, and radiology. His work focuses on developing advanced computational methods to improve medical imaging and diagnostic accuracy, with applications in cardiac imaging, breast cancer, Crohn’s disease, fetal imaging, and liver imaging. He is the Founding and Academic Director of the Technion’s May-Blum-Dahl Human MRI Research Center.
