iDLA and DLA on cylinders

יום שלישי 02.06 11:30 - 12:30

Abstract: Diffusion limited aggregation, or DLA, is a notoriously difficult model to analyze.  internal DLA, or iDLA, was constructed as an alternative model, although they both exhibit completely different behavior.   In this talk we will focus on these two models on a discrete cylinder.  There are many advantages to consider these types of graphs, including the fact that there is a stationary measure.   I will explain how the behavior of DLA and iDLA are different and what we know (or don't know) about these models. Based on joint works with I. Benjamini, and with A. Bou-Rabi, V. Silvestrii.
