ורנר איגור

Igor Verner is a Professor Emeritus at the Technion’s Faculty of Education in Science and Technology, where he served as Director of the Technology Education Track (1996–2021) and Head of the Center for Robotics and Digital Technology Education (2014–2023). He was affiliated with the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences from 2014 to 2021 and rejoined the faculty in 2025. He earned his M.Sc. in Mathematics and Ph.D. in Computer-Aided Design in Manufacturing from Ural Federal University, Russia, and holds a teaching certificate in Technology Education from the Technion.

His research in engineering education focuses on Education 4.0, emphasizing the development, implementation, and evaluation of experiential learning in technology-rich environments that integrate robotic systems and digital tools such as AI, IoT, VR, and simulation. He currently leads a project dedicated to developing and integrating practical workshops across the faculty’s curriculum.
