A new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled Model-based Systems Engineering with Object-Process Methodology (MBSE with OPM) is launching on March 18, 2019, on the prestigious edX platform. The Foundations and Advanced courses are available for both Technion students (as course 094222) and learners worldwide. Learners will acquire the skills required to construct conceptual models of any kind of system, phenomenon, or problem using OPM, a formal MBSE methodology and ISO 19450, implemented in OPCloud. The course is intended for system engineers, engineering students, and anyone interested in getting to know how to use OPM, the state-of-the-art conceptual modeling language and methodology for MBSE and developing a systems-thinking approach to problem-solving. The course, funded by Digital Israel (IsraelX) and designed primarily by PhD candidate Rea Lavi, is the first in the world taught in three languages by three lecturers: English – Prof. Dov Dori, the inventor of OPM, Hebrew – Dr. Niva Wengrowicz, and Arabic – Dr. Ahmad Jbara. Watch the promo and let’s start modeling!
