Tal Lindenbaum (Reuveni), Iris Dorfman, and Gonen Roditi, graduate students in the Psychology program, were awarded a Social Excellence Award by the Council for Higher Education for their activities in the Neve Paz neighborhood as part of their participation in the course “Research in Creativity and Entrepreneurship” under the guidance of Prof. Ella Miron-Spector. During the project, the students held a series of meetings at the community center “Magnesa” together with a group of boys and girls who were chosen to be a “committee” for the youth. The initial goal of the project was to encourage youth to think creatively while applying theoretical concepts learned in the course. Additional goals were added to the meetings, including: enhancing the youth’s sense of self-ability, enhancing work capacity in the team, and establishing a community project in which teens will experience entrepreneurial processes.
